Hallo,

my name is Tim and I drive a Lada 2105 in Dresden, Germany. Unfortunally I don't speak Polish, so I have to write in English.
My gearbox is broken (5-speed) and I need to buy a new one. In Germany it is expensive (700€

. Maybe in Poland it is cheaper. Can anybody tell me, if there is a place to buy new Lada-parts (for example a gearbox) near to the border to Germany around Zgorzelec ? Maybe with EMail-adress of this place, so I can ask them before I go ....

Hello,
nazywam sie Tim i jezdze Lada 2105 w Dreznie, Niemcy. Niestety nie mowie po Polsku wiec musze pisac po Angielsku. Moja skrzynia biegow sie popsula (5-biegow) i musze kupic nowa. W Niemczech jest drogo (700€. Moze w Polsce jest taniej. Czy ktokolwiek moze mi powiedziec czy gdzies mozna kupic nowe czesci do Lady (np. skrzynie biegow) przy granicy niemieckiej w okolicach Zgorzelca? Moze adres e-mail do nich zeby zapytac sie przed wyjazdem....

Janisz, nie pwrowadzaj Niemcaa w blad. Na uakcji, ktora podajesz, jest skrzynia do samary.

Thank you very much for the nice welcome here in the Forum and for the tanslation of my text. The Link which arsen gave me is interesting, because there is a pricelist! But this store is located in Krakow - this is quite far from Germany. Is there anything closer to the border?

Whenever I have found out how to put a picture of my Lada in the Galery I will do so

Location of this store is not a problem - they will send anything everywhere using spedition company. It's not a big cost. Bigger problem is, that they don't have complete gearbox in offert... (or I just didnn't see them

). and with pictures - just put links to them in this or that topic.

a gdzie jest dex i inni z poludniowego zachodu?? oni moze byc cos mieli....

We use sometimes gearbox 5 from FSO. It cost not to much, about 100 zł

Thank you for the tip about FSO. I like this idea. I will try to get one of those gearboxes. It was installed in FSO Polonez, right? I found some of those gearboxes in www.mote.allegro.pl. Did all models have 5 speeds or just some? And is ist sufficient to change the clutch-bell housing and then the gearbox will fit to my Lada?

With FSO Polonez and Polski-Fiat you are lucky to have a nice supplier of Lada-parts in Poland, isn't it?

No, no, no - gearbox from Polonez, FSO is shit. Only original gearbox from Lada.

Gearbox from Lada is better than the Polonez - ist right, but it was impossible for me to buy gearbox 5 from Lada. So I put from Polonez. You should change the stuff, where is clutch working. The gear-change lever has different angle.
There is a few kind gearbox 5 from Polonez faster, slower etc. (It depends on year).
And You have to chance the stuff is gearbox screw to chasis.

After reading that the FSO-gearbox is not good, I did not further try to buy one.
So I finally took apart my gearbox, changed all the broken parts (synchro-rings, bearings) and assembled it back together. I hope, it will work now for a while.
