It isn't 100% same construction as Fiat126p. Many people could help you. I'll find out few things and then write more informations to you.

Do you mean that a cinquento engine will fit in the original engine bay, do you know if the standard 126 gearbox can be used? Also I am aware that the brakes will need upgrading with 4 times the power! is a disk conversion easy to do and what parts do people use? |
![]() moch F&F Sympatyk 126 83', 126 79' Łódź | 2004-10-01 22:06:57 The standard gearbox of 126p CAN BE USED. Brakes ... hmm ... people uses brakes from CC/SC or 125p. It's easy and heap to fit it to 126. |

I have small engine 903 from cc in my 126p. It's simply job to put in this engine into orginal engine bay. Many people uses 903 and 1.1 engine conected with standard 126p gearbox, but first of all you have to do some plate, witch enable that conection. Take a looka, b,c,d,e,f, g, If you would have problem with doing such a plate j,m sure that someone in Poland could help you. Conecting standard gearbox is the easiest but this gerbox isn't steady, especially when someone uses car as a rally car.First gear is the worst part of this gearbox.Take a look here. There is one solution in order not to destroy 1 gear you have to stir with max 2000 rev,....after when you change gear into 2 there is sefe and without limit.Someone conected 1.1 with gearbox from cc700 but there also were many problems with damage , and few more thing has done in order to conecte it. Acceleration was worse than with standard 126 gearbox but v max was better and driving with 140 by normal rev, (my 126p 903 with stadard gearbox has about 6000 ...).When someone put in bigger engine up to 1.1 normally put in engine with gearbox from the car which give engine (uno and so on) |

Thanks very much guys. It looks like it would make more sense to use the gearbox from the car which the engine came from. If i go with an engine/gearbox from a cc or Uno is there a problem connecting the driveshafts up? Is it necessary to use custom shafts or modify the 126 ones. |
![]() widynek F&F Sympatyk 700k Kraków | 2004-10-04 23:53:35 I'm rather sure, that using original drive shafts is not a good idea.. Think about using whole front suspension from the car from which you're going to use engine&gearbox. |
